About and ownership

MCP Compare is built and owned by Tastewise, a company that sells food and beverage consumer intelligence. Tastewise has its own MCP server, and it is listed here under exactly the same published criteria as every other server — which means most of its fields read “unknown”, because its documentation is contact-gated.

Why this exists

MCP directories rank servers by how popular they are with developers. That is a reasonable thing to measure and a useless one for an IT manager, who needs to know how authentication works, what a server can write to, where it runs, and what nobody has documented.

We built the resource we wanted: every claim attached to a source and a date, and a plain “we don’t know” where the evidence runs out.

What ownership does not influence

There is no paid placement, and no server can buy a position or a rating.
Tastewise is evaluated on the same criteria, in the same table, sorted by the same rule.
We do not remove a server on request. We correct factual errors, and we publish the correction with its date.
Competitors of Tastewise are listed on the same terms as anyone else.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us. Maintainers get priority. Corrections are dated, attributed and carry a written reason, and they expire so that a fix on your side is eventually picked up automatically rather than being masked by ours.
